Online | Part-Time | Japan & Italy | Preschool / Early Childhood Experience
Wooks Sinhala School is a fast-growing online language school based in Colombo, teaching Sinhala to the children of Sri Lankan families around the world through small, fun, live online classes. We are now launching classes for Sri Lankan families in Japan and Italy, and we are looking for warm, child-friendly teachers who can connect with these children in the language they use every day.
THE ROLE
- Conduct engaging live online Sinhala lessons for young children via Zoom
- Use Japanese or Italian to explain, guide and build rapport with learners
- Deliver lessons using the Wooks curriculum and lesson plans
- Create a warm, playful and encouraging learning space
- Track student progress and share regular feedback with parents
- Coordinate with the Academic team on schedules and reports
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in Sinhala
- Fluent in Japanese or Italian
- Experience in Early Childhood Education or a Preschool (highly preferred)
- A Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education is an added advantage
- Good English is an added advantage
- Confident with Zoom and online teaching tools
- Laptop with a stable internet connection
- Available for classes at times that suit families in Japan or Italy, including weekends
