Colombo Archery School

Subjects / courses and educational qualifications

Colombo Archery School was set up in August 2007 with the objective of promoting the sport of Archery in Sri Lanka. At the Colombo Archery School we strongly believe that Archery is a sport where there is immense recreational value as well as a sport in which Sri Lanka can compete internationally and establish a mark. The Colombo Archery School currently has more than 50 Archers and carries out a number of programmes to promote the sport of Archery. The classes at the Archery School are conducted by Certified Archery coaches, who also currently compete as Archers at the international level. The Head Coach is a Level 3 certified archery coach. The class sizes are restricted and the equipment which is provided at no cost to the Archers are from recognised international brands. The School places a lot of emphasis on safety standards and maintains a strict safety policy The current students range from 10 years to 60+ and classes are conducted in a informal fun environment. The home base for the Colombo Archery School is the CR&FC Club at Longdon Place, Colombo 07. --
