Galle Co-Operative Nursing School was established jointly with the Galle Co-Operative Hospital Ltd and the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority to educate and train school leavers in the Southern Province on nursing as a part of the contribution towards corporate social responsibility in addition to the numerous projects that the hospital implements on national, religious and cultural spheres. Programmes are conducted to train 100 nurses and assistant nurses annually, based on recognized nursing curricula under the management and guidance of a principal and nursing staff to supply requirement of the nurses to this hospital, other private hospitals and foreign market. --
